A Seismic Project in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)

The Geophysical Institute of Israel awarded the tender to conduct a 2D seismic project for oil investigation in west Congo (DRC), on behalf of EnerGulf (Huston Texas, USA) who got the concession from the government of DRC.
The project consists of 13 seismic lines with a total length of some 203 kilometers, which most of them are going through a jungle environment. Accordingly, the survey will use dynamite as seismic energy source which will be loaded in some 3400 drill holes. The project is planned to last five months and will operate by expatriates from Israel some 200 - 250 local workers, who will be trained to work and add value to the seismic project.
